Research process
We review manufacturer specifications, manuals, support documentation, service terms, compatibility information, and other reliable primary sources. When a claim may have changed, we verify it again before publication or update.
Evaluation criteria
We prioritize total ownership cost, required subscriptions, storage, power and installation, ecosystem compatibility, privacy controls, and material limitations. The importance of each criterion depends on the use case.
Testing language
We clearly distinguish researched comparisons from physical product testing. A product is never described as tested, reviewed hands-on, installed, or personally used unless that work actually occurred and the article explains the method.
Corrections and updates
Product features, firmware, prices, and service terms can change. We update material inaccuracies when identified and encourage readers to confirm current specifications before purchasing.
Commercial independence
Affiliate availability and commission rates do not determine whether a product is included or how it is evaluated. We disclose monetized links and present meaningful drawbacks alongside benefits.
